This piece was completed a while ago, and I am posting it now because I didn’t like the way he turned out at first. He grew on me so perhaps he will grow on you too. Another study of textures, and skin tones.
Dancing to Restore the Eclipsed Moon – 9″ x 12″ Charcoal on brown construction paper
Crow Eagle – 9″ x 12″ Charcoal on brown construction paper
Summit Eagle – 5.5″ x 8.5″ Charcoal on paper
This was done for the cover of the Parent Teacher Student Organization PTSO School Directory for Summit Elementary. An eagle perched on a post overlooking Ute Pass. This proved to be interesting using charcoal after a long passing. Decided not to do much of any blending on this subject as I liked the texture of the feathers being more rigid on this one. Think I might do a few more eagles, they are always well received.
